Celebrating Community Spirit: Wenty Magpies End-of-Season Event at Ringrose Park

Last week, APW joined the fun and festivities at Ringrose Park to celebrate the Wentworthville United Junior Rugby League Football Club’s (Wenty Magpies) end-of-season achievements. Hosted by Wenty Leagues, the event was filled with energy, excitement, and unforgettable moments for the whole community.

A Day of Fun and Celebration

Families, players, and supporters came together to reflect on an exciting season, cheer on the athletes, and celebrate their achievements. But the day was about more than just sports—it was about building community connections and fostering the spirit of teamwork.

Kids had a blast on the Dodgem cars, and one of the highlights was posing with APW’s race motorbike, which came with an exciting twist! Thanks to a greenscreen backdrop, kids experienced what it felt like to be on a real racetrack, seeing themselves in action as if they were racing in real-time. The thrill on their faces made this a crowd favourite!

Our beloved mascot, Snowmax, made sure every child felt special, spreading joy with his playful antics throughout the day. It was a beautiful reminder that rugby is more than just a game—it’s about creating unforgettable memories with family and friends.

We engaged with the community by handing out goodie bags packed with surprises and giving kids a chance to spin the prize wheel for even more fun rewards.
