A Day with the Magpies at Ringrose Park
Nestled near the bustling Wenty Leagues, the hum of anticipation and the spirit of unity at Ringrose Park tell a story. It’s here that the Wentworthville United Junior Rugby League Football Club, known to all as the Magpies, gather to forge their path in the sport they love.
Each age group, from the tiny under 6s to the strategic under 21s, brings a unique spark to the pitch, a snapshot of the bright future of rugby league. The Magpies’ legacy dates back to 1913, deeply rooted in the Wentworthville community, mirroring a century-long devotion to the game.
On a recent visit to Ringrose Park, APW had the privilege of seeing all the young Magpies rocking the APW symbol. This really showed how much we’re behind fostering the next generation of players and embodied our commitment to fuelling the future.
Observing the new generation of players as they practice and compete is truly inspiring. These young athletes personify the aspirations of our neighbourhood, reinforcing the importance of nurturing their talent and passion.
