Toyota Supra enthusiasts and racing fans, get ready for an exciting ride as Steve Johnson, ex-pro V8 Supercars driver and owner of Team Johnson Speed Shop, takes you on a journey of the upcoming Toyota Supra Rebuild in a new exclusive video series from APW Motorsports.
In Episode 1, viewers are introduced to the upcoming Toyota Supra Rebuild and the journey that lies ahead. Steve Johnson provides an overview of the project and what viewers can expect in the coming episodes.
In Episode 2, Steve takes a closer look at the build of this unique Supra, which is designed to be both street-legal and track-ready. Viewers get to see the steps the team is taking to make this car as versatile as possible, including the roll cage design, MTron Engine Management System, upgraded dashboard, and shifter.
In Episode 3, viewers get a chance to see the high-performance parts of the new engine. Steve lifts the car to show viewers the full billet alloy sump made by Dailey in America, the HTT Precision gearbox, a six-speed sequential gearbox produced in New Zealand, custom engine mounts, and the bullet shifter built into the centre console. All these parts will help the Supra engine reach 2000 horsepower.
In Episode 4, viewers get a sneak peek into the sub-assembly room, where Steve’s team is currently rebuilding the Supra’s gearbox with parts from HTT Precision in New Zealand.
Viewers get to see the electronic strain gauge gear lever with its internal sensor that activates the gears without having to lift off the power.
